Sophomore and 2011 Hacienda League MVP Bethany Wu qualified for the U.S. WOMEN'S AMATEUR in golf.
Bethany has already set a school record for nine holes. She was the first Brahma Girls Golfer to win the league MVP. She also played in the US Amateur.
Bethany shot 1-over to tie for 25th place in the stroke play over 2 days. She then proceeded to win her first round of match play to get to the round of 32. Most of the players in the tournament are the top college players in the country. She lost her next match play contest, but this is the best for any Brahma. Alice Kim qualified and played in the US Open in 2010 as a collegiate All American.
Bethany recently won an AGJA event and is a highly ranked player in the country for all age groups. We congratulate her on her great accomplishments.
