Our badminton team felt the pressure of falling behind in a match for the first time all year as Mira Costa jumped out to a 2-0 lead.  The young Brahmas rallied back to take a 9-5 lead.  Mira Costa surged back to win the next three matches to tighten the score 9-8.  The Brahmas tallied three wins in the final four matches to earn the 2013 Division I Badminton Championship by a score of 12-9.  This is their second consecutive championship!

Leading the way were Samantha Li and Krista Hsu.  They each won all four of their points for the team.  Carissa Chung was able to earn three points for the team.  Ryan Huang paired with Samantha Li and Curtis Li paired with Krista Hsu to sweep their mixed doubles points.

Ryan Chin and Adrian Sin won both of their Men’s Doubles matches, which included an upset of the #1 boy in CIF.

The team finished 12-0 for the second straight undefeated season.
