Thanks to the support of our community, Diamond Bar High School will soon celebrate the completion of the Denis R. Paul Aquatic Center and 20-classroom math building.

Walnut Valley Unified School District’s modernization and construction projects are made possible through voter approval of Bond Measures S and Y passed in November 2007.
The Walnut Valley Unified School District’s Board of Trustees awarded the contract for the Aquatic Center to Novus Construction at the October 19, 2011 meeting. Novus Construction’s winning bid for the Aquatic Center was $10,748,000.
Facts about project:
- Designed by Aquatic Design Group, one of the premiere pool companies who have designed pools for high schools, colleges, universities, communities and resorts throughout the United States, Europe and the United Emirates.
- Architect: Henry Woo Architects, Inc.
- Aquatic Complex and 2-Story Classroom Building information:
o 12-lane Pool
o Locker room with men’s and women’s restrooms
o 2 fitness classrooms
o Public restrooms
o Coach’s room
o Pool storage building
o Pool equipment building
o Team room
o Stadium seating with shade structure
o 2-story building with 20 Classrooms
Four of the five phases were previously completed in preparation for the beginning of construction.
These phases included:
· above ground electrical
· underground utilities
· site preparation
· accessible ramp
· underground gas service
Phase 5 – the construction of the Pool and 2-Story Classroom Building.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 18, 2011 before construction began on the 730-day project. Roule Construction Inc., is the project construction manager.
