Our boys tennis team opened the playoffs Wednesday, May 14, with a 15-3 victory over Chadwick of Rancho Palos Verdes, under what could be called “warm” conditions. Diamond Bar quickly added its own style of heat by coming out on fire, resulting in an early 5-1 lead. By the end of the second round, the match was decided as your Brahmas gained a 10-2 lead. Singles, lead by freshman Neil Tengbumroong, took 7 of 9 sets. Doubles, lead by league champions Minsong Hsu and Kenny Sakata, did one better by taking 8 of 9 sets. Their next match is this Friday, May 16. Team and locations to be determined.
