I am pleased to announce that the WVUSD school board approved Jennifer Bravo Wednesday evening, October 1, as the new Instructional Dean of ECEA. Jennifer will be overseeing English, Career Tech Ed, the Fine and Performing Arts as well as Special Ed.
After graduating from CSU Long Beach with a degree in Chemistry, Jennifer Bravo attended graduate school for analytical chemistry and discovered her passion for teaching as a laboratory teacher for undergraduate chemistry classes. She began teaching at a middle school in the Ontario-Montclair district in 1999, while earning her teaching credential at Cal Poly Pomona. In 2001, she came to Diamond Bar High School where she has taught all levels of chemistry. She has also been a class advisor for the Class of 2005, a swim coach, and girls’ tennis assistant coach. Jennifer has co-chaired WASC midterm and full visitations in 2006, 2010 and 2013. She served as a WASC visiting committee member last spring. She earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administrative Credential from CSU Fullerton in 2004. She served as Interim Instructional Dean in 2010. She was recognized as Brahma of the Year in 2010. She currently represents the science department on the district Common Core committee.
Jennifer recently began running and completed her first full marathon last year in LA. She is excited to go back this year and improve her time. She is excited for the opportunity to work with such an outstanding group of educators and students
