Brahma senior Sahith Theegala and his golfing partner Ashwin Arasu, from San Diego, qualified for U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championships at The Olympic Club to be held on May 2 - 6, 2015.

Today in the qualifier they complimented each other well except for middle part of the game.  Ashwin held the ground in front 9 and Sahith finished off well on the back 9.

Sahith finished with an improbable birdie on the toughest hole of the golf course on #17, 472 yards and then an eagle on #18, 512 yards.  Then in the first hole of the playoff, Sahith again made a birdie on #1, 390 yards.  A 3,3,3 finish.

  1. four-ball golf match, used in match play competitions, consists of two teams of two golf players competing directly against each other. Each golfer plays his or her own ball throughout the round, such that four balls are in play. A team's number of strokes for a given hole is that of the lower scoring team member.
