Hello,
Over the next week and a half, we will be presenting information to all of our 9th grade students to help them register for their 10th grade classes as well as create a “Four-Year Plan.” We will be reviewing graduation and UC/CSU requirements to ensure that your child is able to make an informed decision on the classes he or she would like to take while at Diamond Bar High School. All of the materials that are being presented are available on our website, dbhs.org. Please click on the “Guidance-GLC” tab to find:
- Blank Four-Year worksheets
- Sample Four-Year Plans
- UC/CSU/University requirements (“A-G requirements”)
- Graduation Requirements
- Tutoring Information
- DBHS Course Description Booklet ( a list of all classes offered at DBHS including pre-requisites and the A-G requirement it fulfills)
- The Powerpoint presentation used over the next week (click on the Brummett/Desmond page to view this)
Our Career Center specialist, Mrs. Gyasmine Williams will also be working with your student to set up an account on California Career Zone. This will allow students to explore and research possible careers and fields of interest.
Your child will bring home a manila envelope after we have met with them that includes information on registering for 10th grade classes. Please review the information with your child and sign his or her registration card once it is complete. We will not accept the card without a parent signature. We will be collecting the cards on Monday, March 30th.
