Students in Jon Haprov's Graphic Arts class participated in Vans Shoes' annual Custom Culture design contest and have reached the Top 10 in our region. Now they are asking for everyone’s help to vote for their designs to win.
Voting will open on Friday, April 24, and will end Monday, May 11. Please click HERE to cast your vote!
The students stand a chance of winning an all-expense paid trip to New York and $4,000-$75,000 dollars for their classroom.
The contest was created to inspire and empower high school students to embrace their creativity through art and design, and to bring attention to diminishing arts education budgets. Custom Culture is a national high school customization competition using four pairs of blank Vans shoes to be customized around four themes: Art, Music, Action Sports and Local Flavor.
NOTE: Voting opens Friday, April 24. The shoes are voted for as a group of four pairs, not as a single pair.
