Diamond Bar High School was ranked 37 among some of the best public high schools in a new survey. The Los Angeles area school was listed in the top 100 high schools across the state, according to Niche, which compiles school rankings.
Other schools in the Los Angeles area that made the top 100 are: San Marino High School, No. 7; Arcadia High School, No. 35; Walnut High School, No. 44; South Pasadena Senior High School, No. 68 and L.A. County High School for the Arts, No. 92.
Niche ranked the schools in key areas:

Walnut Valley Unified was recently recognized among the 2016 Best School Districts in the highly respected Niche rankings. Walnut Valley Unified School District ranks #149 in the United States out of more than 12,000 school districts.
This ranking considers the “whole-child” experience in its rankings. The 2016 Best School District rankings provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall experience of a school district. This grade takes into account key factors such as the strength of academics, health and safety, student culture and diversity, sports and fitness, extracurricular and activities, school resources, the quality of student life, as well as student and parent reviews, in an attempt to measure the overall excellence of the district.
Furthermore, we are one of only 33 school districts in California to receive an A+ rating and we earned an overall rank of #14 out of more than 1,000 California school districts. Additionally, we are the 4th highest ranked school district in California with enrollment greater than 12,000 (just behind Palo Alto, Pleasanton, and Irvine).
Again, the Niche report focuses on a well-rounded educational experience for all kids. You might recall that we were also recently recognized as the #1 School District in Southern California by the NerdWallet global financial management organization which looks closely at the correlation between home values and quality of education (test scores, college going rates, etc.). And, finally, you’ve probably heard that Walnut Valley had the highest test scores on the SBAC results that were recently released of all school districts in Los Angeles County with enrollments of 12,000 or more.
