WASC Message To Parents - February 2016

Brahma Parents,

We are proud to officially announce that we have completed and submitted the WASC Focus on Learning report to the state.  The WASC visiting committee is scheduled to be on campus March 6-9th.  Thanks to the guidance of the Interim Principals, Mr. Denis Paul and Mr. Guy Roubian, we have begun the process of preparing for the visit.  If you are interested in viewing the report you can access it at the bottom of this page.

After looking at all the data and synthesizing the feedback from the Focus groups we have agreed upon three items on the action plans which include:  Boosting student achievements for all sub groups; improving data collection and sharing; and using a holistic approach to education and wellness.

We have already taken measures to implement these plans with the creation of the district’s very first Wellness Center which opened its doors on January 29.  We plan on continuing to take steps towards improving our services and instruction to all students.

The Focus on Learning Team, as well as everybody at Diamond Bar High, would like to thank you for your participation in parent surveys and focus group meetings.  Our report and analysis would not have been possible without your input and participation.  We hope to continue our partnership with you and the community for the betterment of our students.  Go Brahmas!

With the warmest regards,

Isaac Lee
