One of our softball players has the opportunity to being voted a SoCal Prep Legends Girl Player of the Week. It is a great honor because she is going up against some great athletes in other sports in the area. Our nominee is junior Pitcher/Shortstop Becky Winder. The information that is online about her is included below. Please vote for Becky early and often. It would be a great accomplishment to have her win. She pitched and beat the #1 team in CIF’s Division 2 and the #3 team in the San Gabriel Valley. Please tell students to vote too. We would greatly appreciate it!
Becky had a spectacular week as she helped the Diamond Bar softball team knock of Glendora, which was ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division 2, 4-1. She pitched a complete game while also going 1-for-2 including a double and a run scored. In the next game, she pitched 4 innings of solid relief against Los Altos, which ended in a 9-9 tie. Winder is undefeated to start the season at 3-0.
