April 13, 2016
Dear Parents of the Class of 2017,
It is a rather bittersweet feeling on announcing my retirement at the end of this 2015/2016 school year. As much as I have enjoyed working with your sons and daughters in my current class and the thousands of others since 1985, this is my time to move into a new phase of my life. This has not been an easy decision for me to make but my family and I have determined that the time is right. After 40 years in education it is time to move forward. I want to assure you that the students of 2017 will not miss a beat based on their senior year. My replacement will be at work before the summer GLC appointments in July and August and will be ready for action concerning college admissions, applications and letters of recommendation. I am confident that our leadership team will hire a very professional individual who will bring new ideas and a refreshing enthusiasm to this position. I want to thank you all for entrusting your son or daughter to me over the past three years, they are an extraordinary group of young men and women. I wish them all the best.
Respectfully,
Jack Galeener
