Swimmers Do Well In CIF Competition

This past week, our swimmers did well in CIF Southern Section competition. Our girls tied for fourth place. Kelsey Lloyd was a CIF Champion in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.80. The following were 2nd-3rd place finishers. Jenna Lloyd finished 2nd in the 100 breast. Our Girls were 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay. Kathleen Gani finished 3rd in the 200 Individual Medley (IM)

On the boys side, Michael Lee will be swimming the 500 Free and Brian Li who will be doing the 100 breast.

We had 9 records broken, three relay and six individual. On the boys side, we had the 4x100 Free relay broken by Prestin Li, Brian Li, Michael Lee and William Huang.

On the Girls side we had 200 Medley relay and the 4x100 free relay broken by Kathleen Gani, Kelsey Lloyd, Kelly Cheng and Jenna Lloyd. Kelly broke the school record in the 100 fly with a time of 55.85 and the 200 free with a time of 1:54.96. Kathleen set the record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.56 and the 100 free with a time of 51.90. Jenna broke the 50 free record with a time of 24.04. Kelsey broke the record for the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.80.

We will have Kathleen Gani, Kelly Cheng, Kelsey Lloyd and Jenna Lloyd representing DBHS girls at the state meet in Clovis this week Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21.  Kathleen will be swimming the 200 IM, the 100 Fly, the 200 Medley relay and the 400 Free relay. Kelly will be in the relays and swimming the 100 Fly. Kelsey will be in both relays , the 200 IM and the 100 Breast. Jenna will be in both relays, the 50 free and 100 Breast.
