Reflection: 

Good evening. Welcome to October! Last week we received the incredible news about being ranked the #1 school in California by Start Class (click HERE for the article). The start of this week is met with continued Brahma success! Our 2015 -2016 Yearbook received a Gold Medal from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Retired teacher/yearbook advisor Deborah Clifford and the Yearbook staff are so excited to receive this prestigious award! Great job Brahmas!

Also, Math Madness has begun. We are the defending National Champions! Special thanks to math teachers Jeff Brose & Jimmy Kuo for preparing our students. Also, we are grateful for Randy Thomas (Technology Coordinator) & Rachel Chandler (Library Media Technician) for supporting the students during the competition. Our top scorers from last week’s first round were Benjamin Chen, Matthew Ho, Felix Su, Peter Thompson, and Qinhong Chen.

It is an honor to share with you the excellent achievements of our students and staff…Go Brahmas!  

Updates & Reminders:

• Tuesday, 10/4 is LATE START schedule.
• Homecoming Dance is Saturday, 10/15. All tickets must be purchased in advance at the USB store. Pre-sale tickets will be sold until Tuesday, 10/11. No tickets will be sold at the door.
• Date passes for Homecoming are due this Wednesday by 1pm.
• Is your son/daughter interested in school leadership?… USB Applications are available Thursday, 10/6.
• Good luck to our Varsity Football team as our Brahmas open league competition this Friday night at 7pm @ Home vs. Glendora High.
• Seniors Portraits: Seniors take their photos off campus at our school photographer’s studio. There is no charge for an untouched yearbook photo. If you want your picture enhanced or would like to use multiple poses and use props, there is a $50 sitting fee. Please make an appointment with our school photographer ASAP! Time is running out!
