Principal's Memo - Week 18

Hello Brahmas,

WEEK 18…Finals – December 12 – December 16

Welcome to the last week of the 1st semester! Did you blink? Though we say it all the time, it is hard to realize how fast time goes. Just think, this time next week, we will be relaxing and enjoying a hard earned break.

But for now… students are focused on finals!

  • 12/15 Thursday, 8:01 – 12:16 pm, Minimum Day – Periods 1 & 2
  • 12/16 Friday, 8:01 – 12:16 pm, Minimum Day – Periods 4 & 5

Reflection:

Last week, we began our Winter Sports and we had a full week of pre-season competition. Our Winter Sports: Girls & Boys Basketball, Girls Water Polo, Girls and Boys Soccer, & Boys Wrestling. We are excited about seeing our student-athletes compete and each of our Winter Teams are poised to have excellent seasons. In particular, our Girls Basketball is top ranked in our area and got out to a fast 6 – 0 start, including a first place finish in the Wilson Ladycat Tournament. Since the early 1980s, the Lady Brahmas have been competing in this basketball tournament. This year’s team led by All-Tournament selection, Julianna Gamboa, for the first time in school history… won 1stplace! Thanks Coach Tony McCabe for your leadership and support with our Girls Basketball program!
