Congratulations to our 2017 Diamond Bar Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) team who competed in the Inland Section Conference the weekend of February 4th at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga. We are excited to announce that many of our Brahma competitors qualified for the State Conference April 6-9 in Sacramento.
They brought home a lot of hardware (59 total awards), including six 1st place finishes, nine 2nd place, and seven 3rd place. This is one of the best performances Diamond Bar has ever had in over 12 years of competing in the Section Conference. We also are really proud of Chaparral Middle School for not just attending, but winning Shark Tank over 19 other high schools in attendance, and placing in five difference categories. Congratulations to Ryan Real for being a wonderful leader and making sure Chaparral Middle School attended their very first conference. (We hope there are many to come).
We would like to thank DBHS advisor and coach Ty Watkins for his dedication and weeks working with the team. In addition, we want to thank Chaparral teachers Denise Loera & Mike Jara for their efforts at the FBLA Inland Section.
This year’s Diamond Bar success started with great leadership in senior president’s June Lin and Vinay Bhupathraju. The FBLA Officer team’s exertion led to their achievement.
