Dear Parents/Guardians and the Class of 2021:
Congratulations! You are about to achieve a major milestone in graduating from middle school. In August, you will begin the most exciting four years of your life - high school. What makes it even more exciting is that you will be attending one of the finest high schools in California - Diamond Bar
High School.
To help make the transition from middle school to Diamond Bar High School as smooth as possible, our guidance staff and academic deans will be meeting with the students at the middle schools on Monday, March 6 (at Chaparral) and on Tuesday, March 7 (at South Pointe). On these days, we will review the registration process, class choices and graduation requirements. We will collect the pre-registration forms as follows: Chaparral, March 20 and 21 and South Pointe, March 22; 2017.
There will be an orientation that includes a chance to meet and hear from your child's Grade Level Coordinator, the Academic Deans and the Administration. The Orientation will be held in the Diamond Bar High School Gym at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. All incoming freshmen are encouraged to attend along with their parents. Diamond Bar High School's Open House will be on Thursday, March 16, 2017 and you are also welcome to visit campus to see some of the outstanding accomplishments of our current students. Please take the time to carefully read all the registration materials given to your child. The preregistration form must be filled out and SIGNED BY A PARENT. Our pre-registration counts determine which classes are offered in the fall, so be sure to discuss the classes before you make your selection. Placement in academic classes will be based on recommendations from the middle school teachers, and student test scores and grades.
