Saturday, March 4, twenty-seven Brahmas participated in the annual high school journalism Write-Offs at Schurr High School. They won the overall Newspaper Sweepstakes award (for the second time in three years) and finished 3rd in the Super Sweepstakes.
Taking home first place trophies were junior Brian Chang (for news), senior Michelle Ki (for features) and senior Bernard Chen (newspaper layout).
Among those finishing in the top 10 in their category were seniors Stuart Kusdono, Eric Hong and Calvin Ru; juniors Sophia Kim, Ryan Chae, Pauline Villegas, Hannah Lee and Catherine Zhang; and sophomores Cindy Liu and Amelie Lee.
In addition, our two Yearbook teams made up of Claire Medina, Elena Deng, Jeremy Kim, Shing Lin, Joseline Chang, Jacolyn Yang, Tulasi Murthy and Sarah Lim finished in the Top 10 in both yearbook categories.
