Diamond Bar DECA attended the California States Conference from March 2-5. Over 1,000 people across California competed, making it the most competitive competition of the year in California. Mr. Foley advised 20 Diamond bar students at this conference.
Some students competed in role play events in which students are given 10 minutes to prep for a given prompt and present and 10 minutes to present. While others competed in written events, in which students had to prepare a 30 page written report and were given 15 minutes to present.
Melody Chang competed in the written event "Business Growth Plan" and received top 8 in her event in the state.
This was Diamond Bar DECA's first states conference. They have learned so much and our excited for the coming year!
