Class of 2017 Students and Parents-We are winding down, but as Yogi Berra said, “It ain’t over ‘till it’s over”.

 

 

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

 

On Thursday, April 27th, all seniors attended a Behavior Expectations Meeting with our principal,

Mr. Reuben Jones.  Here are some of the topics covered:

 

  1.         Behavior Expectations:  Mr. Jones discussed making wise choices with our seniors.  We don’t want any senior to lose their senior-week activities due to poor choices.  Poor behavior, senior pranks, etc. may result in loss of senior-week activities including the graduation ceremony.

PLEASE DISCUSS THIS TOPIC WITH YOUR SENIOR.

 

  1.        Seniors are not to be on the DBHS Main Campus from Monday, May 22 through Thursday, May 25 during the regular school day-  8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  The exception to this will be for Graduation Practices, which will start in the gymnasium, and any class-sponsored senior activities.  If your student needs to take care of school business, it must be done before 8:00 am and/or after 3:00 pm.  We don’t want seniors to jeopardize their senior-week activities.

 

GRADUATION PRACTICES ARE ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY May 23-24 STARTING PROMPTLY AT 8:00 am.  Discuss with your senior the importance of attending these MANDATORY practices and arriving before     8:00 am.

 

  1.        SENIOR COMMENCEMENT BROCHURE

Earlier, we emailed to all Class of 2017 email addresses in our system, the Senior Commencement Brochure.  In addition, each senior received a paper copy of this document today.  Very important information is included in this Brochure including information about the Graduation Ceremony, Graduation Tickets, All Senior Activities, Behavior Expectations etc.  PLEASE, PLEASE read this document!

  1.        Graduation Banners

The Class of 2017 will be selling Graduation Banners to our seniors.  The information for these Banners was given to your student today.  These Banners cost $25 and will be displayed at the Graduation Ceremony.  Students may then take the Banner home with them that evening.  It will be a nice item for our seniors to keep as a memory.

 

Banner information is on the Class of 2017 webpage as well.  Look for GRADUATION BANNERS FOR SALE IN THE FILES.

 

  1.        SENIOR SURVEY

All seniors were given the opportunity today at the meeting to complete the Online Senior Survey.  We want to know your senior’s plans for the future.  It is very important that each senior complete this Senior Survey.  It only takes about 5-10 minutes to complete.

PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR SENIOR TO COMPLETE THIS SURVEY BY THE END OF THE WEEK!  IT CAN BE FOUND ON THE MAIN DBHS WEBPAGE-LOOK FOR     SENIOR SURVEY.
