Last week we received notification that the Washington Post released its annual report of America’s Most Challenging Schools. Out of approximately 3000 schools nation-wide, we are ranked 551! Click HERE to access the article. It is important to note that the Washington Post concentrates their ranking on challenging schools who are successful. There are many schools who are challenging, but we are honored to be recognized as a challenging school that makes sure our students achieve.

This week we have our last Dance Concert of the year on Thursday and Friday, May 11 & May 12, at 7pm in the Theater. The Diamond Bar Dance Company has had an amazing year of performances and competitions, and special thanks to Mrs. Kari Simonson for her work with our Dancers.

Updates & Reminders:

• GLC Summer Registration Appointment – This year we are using an online scheduling service, SignUpGenius. Diamond Bar High School students choose their GLC registration appointments using this online system. As of May 1, the SignUpGenius window reopened for all students to schedule or change their appointments. GLC registration appointments will begin Monday, July 10, and end Friday, August 4.

The 2017-18 course schedules for all students will be computer-generated prior to the first GLC registration appointment; therefore, the date of your appointment during the four-week registration period has no effect on your student’s course schedule.

We are requesting that all students schedule their GLC Summer Registration Appointment on Sign up Genius on or before Friday, May 12.

If you cannot locate the invitation sent to you for making your appointment online, contact Randy Thomas ([email protected]) to ask to have it sent to you again. PLEASE NOTE, the invitation is only sent to the primary parent e-mail address we have in our school records. You can contact your GLC to schedule your appointment if you are having trouble scheduling using SignUpGenius.

Some families may be out of town the entire four weeks of registration. This will result in a lost opportunity to meet one-on-one with your GLC and to complete very important steps in preparing for next year. If this situation applies to you, your student needs to notify their GLC.
