Our swim team finished the 2016-17 season with some great swims at the CIF State Championships Friday & Saturday, May 19 & 20. We had 8 swimmers (4 boys and 4 girls) competed against the fastest high school swimmers in California.

Our boys were

Prestin Li swam the 100 breaststroke and came in 20th.

Michael Lee swam a personal best of 4:31.40 for his 500 free and came back for finals to finish in 14th place.

David Wang competed in two events and made finals in both – finishing 16th in the 200 IM and 7th in the 500 free

The boys 400 free relay team of Dylan Hou, Prestin Li, Michael Lee and David Wang finished in 34th place.

Our girls were

Kelly Cheng swam the 100 fly and came in 17th.

Kathleen Gani swam the 200 IM and came back for finals to finish 11th. She also swam the 100 fly with a personal best and school record time of 55.03 and came back for finals to finish 12th. 

Kelsey Lloyd swam the 200 IM and finished 23rd. She also swam the 100 breaststroke and came back for finals finishing in 5th place with a personal best, All American Automatic Time and a school record time of 1:02.07!

The girls 200 medley relay team of Caitlyn Kanemitsu, Kelly Cheng, Kathleen Gani, and Kelsey Lloyd finished 20th place.
