May 28, Brahma thespians attended and received awards at the 47th M.A.C.Y. Awards Ceremony in Costa Mesa, CA. The M.A.C.Y. Awards, founded in 1969, is dedicated to Recognizing, Encouraging, and Rewarding achievement and excellence in high school musical theater. It is the oldest judging organization of its type in the nation.
Our drama company was asked to perform a musical number from their production of "In The Heights" at the award ceremony. Students and 44 local high schools were awarded for their musical theater performances.
