Welcome back from Thanksgiving Break!
I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful time with family and friends. At this point in the semester, we have holidays, family events, final exams, Winter athletics and school performances…sounds stressful! Well, I am thankful to share with you the South Asian Parent Association (SAPA) *Stress Management Workshop on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 @ 7pm in the LINC. This workshop will be offered by leaders who are well qualified in their fields offering a yoga session, stress therapy for anxiety and depression and much more! Thanks, SAPA.

Updates and Reminders:
- Friday, December 15 – The response to the Girls Build LA Leadership Summit at the Los Angeles Convention Center has been overwhelming for us and for the event organizers! They have emailed me and requested I send them any unused tickets. Unfortunately, we have had to turn away students as we were only allowed 45 tickets. We had hundreds of students submit their permission slips on time and in order to be fair, we randomly selected participants to attend. If your daughter was selected to attend, and will not be able to participate, please notify her GLC immediately. We have a very long waiting list! Thanks.
- Boys Tennis Tryouts for the 2018 spring season will be heldNovember 28 - 30, 2017, from 3:10 to 4:30 pm at the DBHS Tennis Courts. Successful prospects must demonstrate effective tennis skills at a high school Junior Varsity or Varsity Level. After selection, there may be individual follow up matches. It is highly recommended that returning players play at least 3 USTA tournaments between seasons.
- Swim Team Meeting & Tryouts…Swim Team tryouts will be held from 2pm - 4:15pm on Tuesday 11/28 and Wednesday 11/29. Coach Darlys will be available for questions about tryouts on Monday, 11/27. All students must have their physical clearance completed through athleticclearance.com.
College and Career Info:
Free Tutoring - CSF offers peer tutoring Monday - Thursday from 3:00pm – 4:30pm. Support available in all subjects.
