Hello Brahmas,

 

Last Thursday night, March 15, we welcomed parents and students to our Open House and 8th Grade Parent Night. This was the first time we combined the two events in one evening and we hope everyone had a wonderful time. Special thanks to Interim Instructional Dean, Julie Galindo who coordinated Open House, and Assistant Principal, David Hong who organized 8th Grade Parent Night!

 

On Friday, March 16, DBHS staff and students celebrated theEvening of Colors, our South Asian Parent Association’s (SAPA) 5thAnnual fundraiser.

Special thanks to Sarbani Sharma and the SAPA parent volunteers who organized such an amazing event!

 

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Wednesday, March 21 @ 7pm - 11th Grade Parent Night – CAASPP & SBAC Testing information will be presented in the Golden Horseshoe.
  • Summer School 2018 information is now posted on the DBHS website under “Summer School.” DBHS Summer School will run from June 11 through July 19, Monday-Thursday, 7:30 am – 1:00 pm. ATHLETICS UPDATE:

Head Track & Field Coach Malinalli Cooke said,

12th grader Clara Ru broke her previous personal record of 16.38 sec (which was the 2nd fastest time in school history) by 0.49 sec to run a time of 15.89 sec, which is a newschool record! The previous school record was 15.99 sec set in 1996 by Candice Taylor. Awesome job Clara!

Congratulations to our Brahma Baseball team for defeating Bonita Bearcats in the Palomares League competition! Thanks to Head Baseball Coach John Hurst for all your hard work and support to our team.
