The weekend of March 24, 6 DBHS Mock Trial team members traveled to Duke University in North Carolina for a National Moot Court competition: Meghan Shen, Ryan Lou, Pablo Martinez, Hamzah Daud, Amelie Lee and Heidi Luo were our competitors in their team groupings. There were 61 teams arguing throughout the day on Saturday then only the top 32 teams qualified to compete on Sunday.

All 3 DBHS teams qualified for Sunday's rounds. The team of Heidi Luo and Amelie Lee made it to the top 8 round, an impressive accomplishment!

Acknowledgements were given to the top 10 individual speakers. There were 122 competitors. Pablo Martinez was #6!

The 6 students were everything that Brahmas competitors aspire to be: exceptional performers, exemplary in their support of one another and constant displays of good sportsmanship. They practiced 4 or 5 days a week, since January, with the help of a Deputy DA from LA County, Angela Brunson. We could not have done it without her!
