WEEK 32 – April 16 – April 20

 

Hello Brahmas,

 

Welcome to Week 32. It may be hard to believe, but we only have 7 more weeks of school, and our 12 Week Grading Period ends this Friday, April 20. This week’s progress report provides an unofficial update on how students are doing in their classes. Please check grades on Parent Portal (Click HERE) to monitor your child’s academic progress.  

 

Special recognition to our Varsity Colorguard, and our Colorguard Coaches, Rob Jett & Brent Dunlap, for an outstanding competition season. Our Brahma Colorguard finished their season ranked 16th in Nation, and 2nd in the State California! Would your son or daughter like to be a part of one of the top Colorguard programs in State? Come to the Colorguard Clinics this Tuesday, April 17 thru Thursday, April 19, 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm, for Auditions on Friday, April 20, 3:30 – 5:30 pm. Get involved!

 

In Athletics last week, we celebrated three Brahmas who will continue their athletic competition at the next level in NCAA athletic competition.

Congratulations to:

  • Christian Killian, Baseball - UNIVERSITY OF LA VERNE
  • Matthew Rodriguez, Football - DIXIE STATE UNIVERSITY

 

This Thursday, April 19, three Brahmas have an incredible opportunity to speak in front of an audience of over 10,000 students, educators, and celebrities at “WE Day” California in Inglewood, CA. Congratulations to Melody Chang, Grace Jean, & Josephine Kim for this special honor! These students will share about their work last year in their AP Environmental Science class service projects. The students were selected by The College Board based on that work, for which each of them earned the designation “AP Environmental Science with Service” on their AP Score report. This experience is made possible by the valuable support and guidance of Assistant Principal David Hong (Service Project Advisor) and AP Environmental Science Teachers Kylance Malveaux and Greg Valor.
