Wednesday, May 2, our TRACK & FIELD TEAM competed in the Palomares League Finals. Here are the highlights!

The following students have qualified for CIF prelims:

• Marissa Vasquez (10^th) earned 1^st place with a personal record (PR) in the V 800m with a time of 2:16.20, which is a new school record!! She is the 800m League Champion

• Samantha Blazek (12^th) earned 1^st place in both V shot put and discus. She is the Shot Put and Discus League Champion!

• Jeremiah Chukwudobe (11^th) earned 1^st place in the V 200m with a time of 22.94. He is the 200m League Champion

• Clara Ru (12^th) earned 2^nd place in the V 100m Hurdles, with a time of 16.59.

• Matthew Uballe (11^th) earned 3^rd place in the V 110m Hurdles, with a time of 15.55.

• The V boys 4x100m relay team (Jeremiah Chukwudobe, Irwin Chen, Ricky Kuo, Fernando Fraguere, alt-David Lanre-Orepo) earned 2^nd place with a time 44.20

• The V boys 4x400m relay team (Timothy Lee, Kailen Smith, Cristopher Cardozo, Jadyn Sanchez, alt-Irwin Chen) earned 2^nd place with a time 3:29.85.

Notable achievements:

• Sungjoo Jeon (12^th) earned a 4^th place tie on the “Top Ten of All Time” list with a mark of 8’ 0”.
• The JV boys 4x100m relay team earned 2^nd place with a time 46.70.
• Cerise Tao (11^th) earned 2^nd place in the JV 300m Hurdles with a time of 56.35
• Timothy Wu (10^th) earned 3^rd place in the JV 300m Hurdles with a time of 46.06
• The JV boys 4x400m relay team earned 3^rd place with a time of 3:49.94
