Walnut Valley students competed in the 23rd Annual Los Angeles County
Science Olympiad Competition Saturday, February 28, at Cal State University, Los
Angeles. The Diamond Bar High team took 1st Place, Suzanne team - 2nd
Place, and the Walnut High team - 3rd Place honors. All three teams will
now advance to the State competition at Cal State Long Beach in April.
Science Olympiad tournaments are rigorous, academic, interscholastic
competitions that consist of a series of individual and team events from
the various disciplines of biology, earth science, chemistry, physics,
computers and technology.
Our team is coached by DBHS Science Teacher Angela Jensvold.
