Diamond Bar traveled to Cerritos Monday, March 16, to play the Dons, last year's Division III CIF Champions. Cerritos, with it's full CIF squad returning from last year, handed your Brahmas their first loss of the '09 season, 7-11. Maiki Kitagawa and Austin Chen were highlights for the Brahmas sweeping their three sets, 7-6, 6-2, 6-1 in doubles.

 

Diamond Bar lost two other sets 6-7, 6-7 which would have tied the score 9-9. It was a great match between two tough teams but in the end the more experienced and senior-filled Dons proved the stronger team. A lot was learned; strengths exposed and weaknesses exploited. Our goal of bringing home another league title begins Wednesday, March 18, as we host Glendora in our league opener. The big showdown with Ayala is this Friday, March 20.
