Congratulations to Brahma senior Andrew Chang for being nominated as a Presidential Scholar in the Arts. He will be flown to Miami in November 2018 to be interviewed and will perform before a panel of judges in 2019 in hopes of advancing to the semifinals.  

Last year, as a junior, Andrew was named a winner in the 2018 National YoungArts Competition, the only Brahma to ever accomplish this. He received a $1500 cash award and was flown to Miami for Nationals week. Andrew was assigned to play with other winners from across the nation. Meeting for the first time in January 2018, they rehearsed for 5 days and performed at Miami’s New World Center.

Diamond Bar High School was notified and received a plaque as recognition. Andrew also received the medal.
