Boys' Tennis Racks Up Three More Wins

The Boys' Tennis Team opened league play against Glendora last Wednesday, March 18, with a 16-2 win. Sophomore, Brandon Huang and junior partner, Terry Mork, beat the top Tartan doubles teams 6-4, 6-4.
 
Friday, March 20, your Brahmas traveled to Ayala for the first of two tough matches against the Bulldogs. As usual, it was a heated battle between two rivals. Diamond Bar came home with a 10-8 win. Leading the way was junior, Philip Kozan, who dominated in singles, 6-3, 6-1, 6-0. In doubles, Maiki Kitagawa and Austin Chen swept their sets to remain undefeated as a doubles team in 2009. Junior, Derick Tom, beat Ayala’s numbers one and three players to seal the victory for Diamond Bar.
 
Monday, March 23, the Brahmas took care of Chino, 17-1 and travel to Damien Saturday, March 24. DBar is currently 7-1 overall, 3-0 in league and ranked #3 in Division II CIF tennis behind San Marino and Palm Desert.
