Wednesday, September 18, DBHS Athletic Equipment Attendant Dave Hernandez was recognized by the Diamond Bar City Council for his courage and compassion. Last May, Dave joined Marylou Vargas in assisting a woman who was found in her car, suffering from wounds from a recent attack. Dave and Marylou stopped traffic, turned off the car and helped keep the woman safe from further harm until medical help arrived. We are proud of Dave and his selfless efforts.
