Students RIghts and Responsibilities

1. I have the right to learn without interference.

I have the responsibility to allow others to learn. I have the responsibility to work at learning, stay on task, exercise effort.

2. I have the right to work in a physically and emotionally safe environment.

I have the responsibility to care for myself and the environment so as to create a safe and productive work place.

3. I have the right to have my work respected.

I have the responsibility to respect the work of others. I have the responsibility to take care of my own work and work area.

4. I have the right to have my property respected.

I have the responsibility to respect the property of others. I have the responsibility to keep my possessions where they belong.

5. I have the right to be listened to when I am speaking.

I have the responsibility to listen and respond to others. I have the responsibility to speak clearly, honestly, appropriately, and respectfully.

6. I have the right to get help when I need it.

I have the responsibility to ask for help when I need it.

7. I have the right to express my feelings appropriately and to have my feelings respected.
