Wednesday, November 28, The Wellness Center’s TED-inspired talks returned to the Diamond Bar High School stage after last year’s teacher attendees were in total agreement that the event should continue.
Approximately 80 students auditioned and 18 were selected to express their personal message on mental wellness. In the upcoming days, each of the talks presented that day will be posted on Facebook, YouTube and dbhs.org.

Uploaded Sep 20, 2019Congratulations to DBHS teacher TY WATKINS for being chosen as Walnut Valley Unified School District's 2019-20 Teacher of the Year out of nearly 700 instructors.
Tuesday, June 16, WVUSD School Board President Larry Redinger, Superintendent Robert Taylor, Principal Reuben Jones and other district and school staff surprised Ty at his home letting him know the good news!
In his 16 years as a Brahma, Ty has initiated our new AP Human Geography class, coached multiple sports here at DBHS including football, basketball, golf, and softball. This year, he unselfishly joined the Pathways Communications Academy team and took on a class he had never taught: Leadership. Since being involved in PCA Leadership, he arranged the behind-the-scenes tour at Knott’s “SCARY” Farm, created that amazing Haunted House in the 500 building and has brought numerous guest speakers (including accomplished Brahma alumni) for the seniors to hear. Ty continues to work as an outstanding AP teacher, providing his students with multiple after school study sessions, where he comes in after softball practice and stays for a couple hours late at night, in preparation for the AP exams. He is always willing to go above and beyond in supporting DBHS.
Monday, May 8, 2023, 464 Brahmas took the AP Calculus exam (AB & BC). They started their day together in our amphitheater. Before the students left for their testing areas, all of the AP Calculus teachers led them in the FIVE SPELL OUT with Mrs. Latitia Thomas at the microphone. FIVE is the top possible score on the exam. The other AP Calculus teachers are Michelle Hansen, Jimmy Kuo, Brian Wiencek and Jason Bae. NOTE: About 1 out of every 5 Brahmas took this exam on this day!
Uploaded May 08, 2023OCTOBER 2018 ARTISTS OF THE MONTH - Students were asked to create a color pencil design involving figurative and abstract patterns. The four color sections represent key rules from color theory (Warm, Cool, Complimentary, and Monochromatic). In the center of their design is a childhood cartoon that they loved growing up. The work of these four artists were chosen as the most admired by their peers in Mr. Hwang's Fundamentals of Art class.
