American Mathematics Competition

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT:  If you are planning to take the AMC-B (either the 10B or 12B) tomorrow, please report to the Golden Horseshoe at 4PM.  The test will begin at 4:15PM.

Allowed materials: blank scratch paper, writing utensils, eraser, ruler, and compass.  Extras will be provided.

Prohibited materials: calculator, cell phone, smart watch, and protractor.

Please email Mr. Mair at [email protected] with any questions.

Each year about 100 Brahmas participate in the American Mathematics Competition.  This is a national test.  If our competitors score high enough, they will move on to the American Invitational Mathematics Exam.

DBHS students will have two opportunities to participate in the 2024 AMC.
  • The AMC-A: Scores have been released.  Please see Mr. Mair in room 657 for your score.
  • The AMC-B: This second chance for student participation is a fundraiser for the Math Club and is open to anyone.  Please note there is a $10 registration fee for this test.  This test will be on 11/12/24 and will be taken after school.

Both tests have two levels. If you are in grades 9 or 10, you may take the AMC-10 or the AMC-12. If you are in grades 11 or 12, you must take the AMC-12.  We do have a limited number of spots so please sign up ASAP to reserve your spot.

I will send the registration link after you complete the respective form below.  For the AMC-B, you must pay the $10 registration fee (GoFan link included in Google Form) before I send the registration link.
